Hello From Healthybulbs

What is Cupping Therapy?
Cupping therapy is an ancient healing technique that has been used for centuries to promote relaxation, reduce pain, and improve overall well-being. Whether you're dealing with stress, muscle tension, or chronic conditions, booking a cupping session can provide numerous benefits. This treatment involves the application of cups to the skin, creating a vacuum effect that stimulates blood flow and promotes healing.

Wet cupping aka Hijama, takes it a step further by combining traditional cupping with controlled bleeding. Benefits include pain relief, improved circulation, detoxification, and relaxation.
Don't wait any longer to experience the rejuvenating effects of cupping therapy - book your session today and start feeling the difference!

Our Services

We hope you now have a better understanding of who we are and what we offer at Healthybulbs. We understand that this form of therapy may be dauting at first, especially if it's your first time. It is our priority to make sure you are comfortable throughout the process from prior to booking, during the session and after the session.

To understand your requirements, we conduct a consultation call before any therapy is performed to ensure we're all on the same page. Your safety, physical and mental well-being is our priorty and in line with our mission to be 'your cup of health'

Unlike other cupping clinics, we aren't here to sell sessions based on the number of cups you require, but rather, we strive to provide you with an experience that allows you to leave our clinic revitalised, relaxed and ready for the challenges of the world. To achieve this, we offer unlimited cups* for every session.

We use high-quality, break-resistant, sterlie cups as well as Swann-Morton surgical blades. These tools are for single-use only and disposed of after every session, meaning hygine standards are maintained each and every session.

Although we have created a warm and welcoming enviroment, we agree that there's nothing quiet like the comfort of your own home. We understand that this is a luxury and are keen to provide you with the best service and experience possible, hence why we're able to accomodate this by providing mobile services!

Note: an additional fee applies for mobile services. Fee starts from £30+ (location/millage dependant).

*unlimited cups refers to a maximum of 20 cups, this varies between female & male individuals.

Dry Cupping

is aimed at individuals looking for non-invasive and drug-free treatment options. It can be beneficial for individuals experiencing muscle pain, inflammation, respiratory issues, and stress.

Wet Cupping

is aimed at a diverse range of people. Athletes can experience the benefits of faster recovery and improved performance as wet cupping helps to eliminate lactic acid build-up in muscles post-workout. Individuals struggling with skin conditions, such as acne or eczema, can benefit from the detoxifying effects of wet cupping, resulting in clearer and healthier skin.

Massage Cupping

is particularly beneficial for releasing knots and relieving muscle pain. The cups use negative pressure to lift and separate the fascia layers, allowing fresh blood to flow in the area, which aids in the healing process and releases stubborn knots and trigger points.

Bespoke Treatment

allows us to tailor our cupping sessions to meet your specific needs. Whether addressing the symptoms of sciatica, promoting fertility, or targeting other health concerns, the flexibility of cupping therapy allows for personalised treatment plans.

We're certain you have questions, to reassure you and keep your mind at ease, we've answered some of the most frequently asked questions below.

Remember, prior to any of our cupping sessions, we conduct a consultation to ensure we are both aware of the therapy and answer any questions you may have!

Does it hurt? The simple answer is no. The suction of the cups will feel like a pull on your skin, whilst the superficial blade incisions (during wet cupping) may feel similar to a light scratch. Post wet cupping you may experience slight itching, we recommend using olive oil to soothe this feeling.

Do the bruises stay for a long time? The marks following cupping therapy are not bruises, they are marks known as ecchymosis. The shades of these marks vary significantly and give us a good indication of your blood circulation. The discoloration is not subject to the level of melanocytes in the skin, thus the colour and meaning is the same across all ethnic backgrounds. The length of appearance of these marks vary from one individual to the other but generally are gone within 2 weeks.

Do you re-use the cups? No. Our sterile cups and surgical blades are for single-use, meaning we use new cups/blades every session.

How long is a cupping session? This is dependant on the therapy and package you opt for. Generally our sessions last from 20 minutes upwards. Our popular 'healthybulbs detox' lasts up to 60 minutes, book your session today to find out!

How often should I do cupping? There's no specific answer, some people like to come monthly, some every three months and some once or twice a year. Generally, we recommend every 8-12 weeks. In specific cases and treatments such as aiding in fertility, you would be required to book two sessions a month.
